Can you change over the ecu from one LCR to another, or do you need to program the immobiliser/alarm/anything else? Engine codes and ecu part numbers the same, 1 may have a revo remap in tho!!

My dad has a 1998 Ibiza 1.0. His ECU was fried so he bought another off ebay. Now the immobiliser seems to be shutting the engine down on start up.
Any ideas how to get round this?

My brothers Cupra R 225 is boosting 1.2 Bar. First question is is that the standard boost pressure or is that likely to be the chip boosting higher as we are told it has been chipped but no paperwork to prove.

I have searched this but can't find any information. I read though that when your car has been remapped it goes into limp mode constantly. What can you do to stop this?
