£880 a day for a (sometimes) skilled fitter. FFS. There Are times when I'm really grateful my dad gave be a toolbox to go with my first car and told me to get on with it.
If someone tried to charge me that at work I'd take them off the books!
On the other hand many of those cars will be company or lease cars. I'd be fascinated to know what the dealer charges a lease company an hour. I bet it's not £110.
Thanks for sharing, good to compare to what everyone else is paying. I'lll definitely keep an open eye as I think 70+ per hour is a bit too much. The shop is very convenient, but well...
Come to my place of work and pay £85 p/h and you'll likely get me working on your car. we're a main vw group dealer with 3 master techs and an apprentice.
I know Midland VW (live right by them lucky me) charge £60/hr which is great as they specialise in VAGs. Also theyre very, very honest which is rare for most garages nowadays
