2004 fr 180 bhp rack problems

hello.. i do the odd track day here and there in my leon if my cossie not 100 % to take.on these track days im using second hand slicks.well ive done another steering rack.in the last yr ive done 2 racks!!could anybody tell me if the rack for the lcr is stronger than the lc rack and are they the same as im getting tired of changing racks.

Mark,

The LCR and LC ones are a different number. Th one in the LCR is the same as the R32 one and never heard of any problems with these apart from the bush needing changing.

have you had any problem with your racck on your track car?
as this is the second time now i've had this problem i would like to sort it.

I've not had any problems but am very new to the track. My car has done 100,000 miles with no rack issues
Is your car very low and putting extra load on the track rods/rack?
Not too sure if the LCR rack will fit your car BUT

If you swap out your sub frame and hubs to the LCR/MK4 R32 one you can fit the quicker rack from these models, swing arms, front ARB, shocks and hubs. This will give you some negative camber and better geometry on a bigger drop with a better front ARB to give better control
