Hi all,

I havenā€™t posted for a while and wanted to tell people about my recent experiences with seat/cupra cars and dealer.

So I love Seatā€™s, I have had quite a few lol. I will start my story with my Leon cupra 290. When I bought this car i was so happy. I loved the car. It was everything I thought it would be. It was an absolute beast. When you rang itā€™s neck it just wanted more. I planned on keeping it for many years but love happened šŸ™„lol. I met my partner and moved in with him. My commute changed and the cupra was no longer viable. I still wanted a Seat/Cupra. So we both sold our cars and bought a cupra formentor VZ2. Plus an old fiesta for my commute to work. The Formentor was a beast in its own right and I loved it. Then all the problems started to happen. Well the first on the way home from the garage when we picked it up. Mainly to do with the MIB. Long story short we rejected the car because it wasnā€™t fit for purpose. Plus the Seat/Cupra garage was useless. To be honest the way they treated us when the car broke down 300 miles from home was absolutely disgusting. I am not here to name and shame them though. So the Formentor, it was a brilliant car but to be honest not a patch on the MK3 Leon Cupra. It was quicker in a straight line and better in bad weather conditions but it had no feel at all. It is too big and heavy. I did love the car though. Anyway so the Formentor has gone and I am left with my fiesta. So we started to look at alternatives. We were set on getting a VAG car and not brand new with the same infotainment issues. We finally settled on a 2019 VW Golf gti performance. I was hoping to get back into a Leon cupra lol. Now the golf is a lovely car. It ticks all the boxes. Itā€™s quick, handles well, practical and good on fuel for what it is. Again though itā€™s no Leon Cupra. The golf is a perfect all round car but itā€™s missing the edge that the Leon cupra had. Donā€™t let anyone say itā€™s the same as the Leon itā€™s NOT. But itā€™s not meant to be in my opinion. Like I say itā€™s a brilllant car but I really have missed a Leon. The fiesta started failing on me with various issues. So I decided to go to the bank and borrow some money. Guess what I bought šŸ˜. No sadly not a cupra but a Leon 1.4tsi FR. I was gobsmacked at how quick that little engine is. Ok nothing on the cupra or the GTI but brill litttle car. I am so happy to be back in one. I pick it up on Friday and I am so excited. I hope to be posting again soon.

Sorry for the long post just wanted to express my thoughts on here with true car guys/gals.

Thank you for reading.

Congratulations on the new FR, one of the best little engines in the VAG range IMO.
