Na.
In the mouth of the calliper where the pad slides back and forth there is a metal insert
And no I don't need a metal insert for my willy, not yet anyway, lol

Hmmm; I think I am missing this insert; never noticed it anyway and I polished the entire calliper when I was changing pads a couple of weeks ago, would have noticed it I think!

Yup its screwed into the mouth of the calliper at the bottom and top edges
