Just seemed to be the general consensus on what's best for the Michelin's! I ran them at 39 and found myself correcting the wheel alot at motorway speed! Plus they were still spinning like a twat in 2nd under WOT!
I was very surprised though to feel how much better they ride than the Pirellis at stock pressure, bumps and lumps are soaked up much better!
Interesting you mention this, as I recently re-corrected my tyre pressures since the temperature dropped back up to 39 front and 38 rear, I think they were around 36 and 34 before I did so. The road noise and general ride quality was noticeably worse after upping the pressure. I can’t confirm whether the overall grip changed, although the ease at which the back end can be coerced into lift off oversteer was improved, much to my approval
however, I am still running the old bridgestones on the back (mpss on the front). Both will be replaced with PS4s’ in the coming months so I expect that behaviour may change.
