Filled the car with Fuel today for the first time.

Does anyone have trouble filling their car. I had a terrible job trying to fill it. THe nosel won't go in far enough and the petrol pump keeps clicking and it took me ages to fill up.

Any hints, tips on how to fill the car properly!

No i only fill up at Tesco to get Tesco club points, plus they are cheaper than shell round my area @ 87.9p a litre

No i think its the way the nossel fits into the car. It does not seem to fit in properly. I have to hold it so it does not fall out!

Or make sure your filling it up with petrol and not derv!

I know some areas have different type of pumps for different fuels!

I do sometimes find that the diesel pump keeps switching itself off prematurely. The trick when this happens is to rotate the nozzle slightly and hold it at a different angle.
I find the same. The derv takes longer to drain away than petrol !
