Forge 007p Right way or upside down?

Hello guys n gals,

I have a Forge 007p and i have fitted it the normal way up but when reading posts on here i see that people have fitted the valve upside down.

Why is this? Is there any difference in performance/noise etc?

It's supposed to make a different sound but when I did it, the car didn't boost as strongly and the DV got quieter. They are designed to fit in the exact same way as the OEM DV does so that's the way i'm keeping it.

When i fitted mine upside down i found that it gave more of a high pitched "chirp" rather then the standard "tssh"

The "chirp" seemed louder but this is probably only due to it being an unusual sound but i had no problems with performance.

+1 mine upside down and i find it holds boost better.

I have mine with the boost going to the bottom of the piston, the same as all other valves. Mine works perfectly with no problems at all and it's slightly louder as well, which is nice

Forge say themselves they work just as well in either position.

Tried this myself and it made no difference whatsoever so I changed it back.
