Good morning all (UK time) I’ve stumbled across excellent forum and am looking forward to reading about other’s experiences with their CUPRAs. I’ve owned a CUPRA Leon 245 in urban silver since last October, having previously owned a Leon FR in desire red, which was my first introduction to SEAT. My wife has an Arona and my daughters have a Leon and an Ibiza, so very much a SEAT family!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I currently own a FR in desire red! I do love the look of the new Cupra's, I know the changes divided opinions when they were first revealed.

Hi and thanks for the welcome. I think my MK3 Leon was actually a better looking car generally, although I am getting used to the MK 4 and I much prefer the automatic (could be my age!) I think the MK 3 also benefitted from less technology in the infotainment department with regard to little niggles. Driving the CUPRA is lovely though and the exhaust note (partially through the speakers) encourages me to turn the music down.

Cheers Scott. It wouldn’t have been my first choice however, it was all Preston had at the time and it’s grown on me! I was offered a cracking deal on my FR, which helped.

Desire red! Loved it on the FR, but difficult to find at the time. I’ve got a new set of CUPRA R edition 19” rims in the attic which will really lift it when I get round to having them fitted!

I really wanted a Leon CUPRA when I bought the FR, but couldn’t stretch to one unfortunately. That was 2018 and things changed a lot at SEAT in three years! So when the opportunity came three and half years later to buy one, I couldn’t resist
