Glow Plugs for a Leon Cupra TDi 2004

OK so VAG-COM is reporting a faulty glow plug and I'm looking to get a replacement, following is the part number from a current one.

BOSCH - N 105 792 01

Looking on vwspares there seems to be two BERU version that fit the Leon.

GN855 and GN046 (The GN046 seem to the be correct one)

I've been looking around and found some people post having issue with the GN046 plugs being slightly longer and that they've used the GN885 instead. (on the "17058 Glow plug problem" thread.)

Does anyone know what version should be used and if the longer ones would do any damage? Seems strange that the OEM part would be any longer.

Thought this was going to be an easy job.. now I'm not sure.

Thanks

Chris.

some may say lala land....
no idea about size issues - i used what was in the tdi thread i supplied and got garage to do
i did harness as that went as predicted in similar thread approx 3mnonths later

do all 4 as it can say that 1 is out and mean 3
easier, cheaper and why do the job again if can do it once for all

This seems to be the OEM parts that match the ones from your order.

http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=56

But I'm still not sure so should I just get them from the dealer. Checked with them today, seems to be the same price as you've quoted which will cost slighlty more than online, suppose I know they must be correct ones atleast.

Did you just buy from the dealer?

Thanks
