Im sure ive had vag com on before when the dash board has been beeping and no fault codes have come up. Its wierd and very annoying!!
When you get the beeps, what does the gauge show? No reading or in the red?
the two sensors, g2 and g62, are they two sensors in the main temp sensor?
Yes, they are completely separate electricall. The single unit screwed into the coolant pipes has four electrical connectors in the plug, two for each sensor. The gauge on the dashboard, and the three-beep warning signal, take their reading from the G2 sensor, wheras the ECU takes the reading from the G62 sensor. No, don't ask me why, I'd be guessing
