how much of a job is it to fit the LCR 04 turbo to a LC then folks. I know other things will need to be changed but just a ballpark figure and is it a massive job? Dont think my LC will be reliable above about 230Bhp so that my limit at the mo after fitting the miltek exhaust and Cat and getting a remap.
Fitted Koni FSD's and Eibach spings so handling is sorted (got upper and lower strut brace to go on and will get ARB'S soon i hope) but heard that Blacksuff discs and pads inprove the LC brakes a massive amount so will leave the brembos for now.
Fitting the turbo wont be the problem it will be the need for injectors, bigger FMIC, piping....

Mate, i was about to kill you there! I thot you were gonna get an Onvi LCR with Recaros! You should know i'm the only one in the Motherwell/Hamilton area!

Gives a shout and you can have a blast of mine, and a seat in the Recaros (front and rear obviously!)

I have a remapped LC which is just as fast as the standard R (if not just a tad faster) I went to test drive a red LCR with 270 bhp and altho it felt faster it also felt alot heavier. It was a great example and was only 8k with 78k miles. Ive been thinking of a change to either an EVO 7/8 or a 02 onwards Impreza but ive just come to the conclusion im gunna go big turbo on my cupra. Im enjoying my LC too much to change it, its so practical and light in comparrison to the cars you have highlighted above. More power and you will see the Leon eat any of them.

Focus RS has a GT25 Turbo and LSD as standard. It was a special/limited edition car and as such will eventually have the same cult status and no doubt residuals as the Escort RS Cosworth and Escort RS2000's etc before it. They can tune up to 300bhp easily and beyond if a GT28 Turbo is fitted.

TT's are really nice cars and in your price bracket too. My mate just got a 2001 denim blue 225 TT with leather and Bose for £11k recently. Same engine as Leon Cupra R plus 4 wheel drive to harness the power. As others have also said, the S3 is worth looking at too - Same as TT mechanically but in 3 door hatch shell rather than the TT coupe shape and poorer dash.

Not sure what R32 you would get for £11k, but they are good cars too although the 3.2 V6 thirst would maybe be a put off.

Also, I wouldnt buy one myself, but the Alfa 147 with the big V6 engine is in that price bracket too.

Also in that price bracket are Vectra GSi's, Mondeo ST's, Honda Civic Type R's, Impreza WRX/STi's. Evo's, Clio 182's, Megane 225's, Celica 190's etc etc etc.
