Lane assist & Blind spot activation/deactivation

Hi All, I'm looking to buy used 2020/2021 Leon E-Hybrid.
I looked through this forum and youtube videos but didn't find clear answer so I think you should be able to answer.

1) Lane assist - 20/21 model is it permanently switchable off? Some sources say it can be switched off from steering wheel controls, some say only from central display. Also some say it stays permanently off if switched off from steering wheel? I'm aware EU laws since 22 require cars to have it permanently on/temporary switchable off. However car being 2020 model this shouldn't be the case? Or perhaps this being updated during the regular service to include this function (perm on)?

2) Blind spot amber flashing light on door panel. Same as above? Switchable off permanently? I find it super annoying to the point where I'm looking to buy FR model instead of FR sport.

Many thanks

I can only answer the first question as my car does not have blind spot monitoring.

Front assist can be switched off with two clicks on the steering wheel but you have to do this EVERY journey as it will switch back on after restarting the car.

It can be switched off and the car can be set to memorise the last setting, i.e. if you've swiched it off, using an ODBeleven. This way every time you start the car, it will be off, until you change it again if desired using the ODBeleven.

Have a look 5 mins in to this video,
it's the same with Golf / Leon.
