I have a weird problem with remote heating. I have bought upgrade to Seat Connect, so I can put heating ON from my phone. It works everytime nicely when car is not plugged in to a charger. But everytime for example car is charging over night and morning I put heating on from my phone, it says "heating", but when I enter the car, it is still cold.

Do you guys have this same problem? Dealer only tries to install some updates, but no solution, I start to feel bit annoyed with this.

It's hit or miss. Do a hard refresh in the app after turning the heat on and see if it still appears on. If not, try again..

it does take a long time to heat up. But yes same issue, also the car seems to loose the cable connection after a scheduled charge. Works off the internal battery but not off the mains.
Anyone know if it’s water based heating or not
It’s something that happened when I went to 1940.

App is reseted, uninstalled, reinstalled, done everything with that. Car is reseted, updated, dealer done all these also. So I think it is not app problem.

Without plugging in the charger, car heats up pretty fast, but with charger plugged in, no heat at all.

Scheduling heating from the car does the job, but here in Finland winter is long, so I can't schedule all my comes and goes, I really need the app heating also, when plugged in.

Thank you for your replies, it is kind of relief to notice that I am not alone with this problem. Solution would be nice still.

I'm on 1940 and have no problem with the remote heating either via battery or via the mains. This is both through manually on the app or via a pre heat departure times.

Couple of thoughts relating to how you are charging the car that might help:

- If using the granny charger, I couldn't get the pre/remote-heat to work at the same time as when the car is charging. I believe this is because the granny charger can't provide sufficient current to charge the battery and heat the cabin at the same time.

- If using a charging box, have you checked that the car is getting power for the heating request? Some chargers 'shut off' after the charging cycle is complete and won't automatically provide a further power cycle, even if the car requests it until the cable has been physically disconnected and reconnected.

If it's getting sufficient power then it could just be down to another quirk in the software unfortunately 😩.

Thanks for the reply, sounds possible scenario becaude I'm using here the granny charger. But still, I wonder why it won't start the heating at all. Sounds pretty stupid from Seat that I have to drain my battery "fast", if I have slow charger. Why the granny charger can't slow down the draining during the heating.
It was "lovely" -10 C° in this morning and would be really nice to have heated cabin, than maximum level of battery. And if the car is not plugged in that crappy battery is drained pretty fast when heating, so granny charger could do atleast some helping there, if it cant keep the battery fullfilled when heating.

Does anyone know, is there going to be any problems, if I plug in the granny charger to the car, but don't plug the charger to socket (or I take fuse out from that socket), then put heating on, wait a bit, connect the electricity to the granny charger. Does that turn off the heating, or does that break something from the car? Long story short, why Seat don't allow heating when granny charger is plugged in?

Your charging box comment is interesting, I’m using a dumb charger, not the granny box, but it has to be disconnected to allow a further cycle. All was well on the original software, worked properly last winter, this winter only works off the internal battery, now on 1940, will try and get updated next service
