I've had my TDI FR for three weeks now and have covered about 1400 miles. I'm impressed!! Last week I went from Birmingham to leeds to Newcastle to Carlisle and back to Birmingham - all in one day and the car didn't miss a beat! I'm impressed with how genuinely quick it is whilst not being at the cost of fuel economy. If you get the chance take the A69 from Newcastle and then drop off left onto the A696 to Alston - no scameras, no police and one of the best roads i have ever driven!!!
Anyway, questions.
Firstly, mirrors. If i press and hold the remote locking button on the key fob the mirrors retract to their parked position, like they're supposed to. However, when I try to fold the mirrors by pulling the mirror adjust button back on the transmission tunnel nothing happens. I don't know if the heated mirror function works yet as we haven't had the weather to try it. Anyone know if i have to enable something first on the MFD ( I've got the bluetooth pack and large MFD)?
Secondly, when i picked up the car from the dealers they explained how to lock / unlock the car and how to deadlock it. They said to double press the keyfob to deadlock where a single single press will only lock and enable the alarm. But this doesn't seem to be what the manual says. what does everyone do?
Sorry for the longer than expected post.
