Mk1 Leon build *Skoda VRS Blue* staggered mono's

It's a 01 tdi. Not worth much to some if you but it's my pride and joy lol.

It's currently got FK coilovers and there completey done.. so there coming out and new ones are going in after its painted. I have a vanaaken smartbox in it and its amazing IMO, unreal power and mpg difference. I've also put a 15000k hid kit in it. Subtle mods for daily driving.

It's currently sitting in primer ready for its new colour (blue, undecided what blue still), work has slowed down a bit.. Not by much though, so I've decided to paint my own car as I'm fed up looking at dents when I'm a bodyman. I'm also going to notch the chassis and fit some 15mm engine raisers after the paintworks done. New bumper also bought as my old one had been butchered by s previous owner for a farmer bar. New alloys are still undecided also, had enquired about 17" passat v6 alloys (nicer version of longbeach alloys IMO) and went to lift them and the idiot had sold them after me asking him to keep them 5 hours for me GRRRRR AGGHHgHhhh. Should have it painted this week and notched etc...stay tuned!

Some flattening done to the primer today in between buffing a car and painting another lol

Doors will be off tomorrow and some finishing work and I should be ready for paint Wednesday all going well.

Also lifted these tonight, there 5x100 direct fitment -

But there my mates il have them on the leon for photos though

Thinking on buying these alloys, 17x7 5x130 toureg's -

Opinions? I'm stuck between these and monoblocks.

The tree colours I had narrowed it down to..
Left to right, ford Australia purple pearl 1 & 2 , skoda 'race blue'.

Doors still need done as I'm still not happy with them spotted a small chip in one today, should have them painted tomorrow. Can't wait to spend a day flattening the clear and buffing this awesome colour

Also, my mates mk4 on borbets , can't wait to try these on the leon!

Should be finished as far as bodywork is concerned on Monday/Tuesday.

Il prob end up buying a cupra R kit through time though lol

Future plans include a interior change, engine bay done and hydro.. In no order.

What do you mean by facelift? cupra r bumpers?

Funds are tight at the minute, ordering new coilovers this week and currently on the lookout for new aloys. Once im sorted with those il be investing in Cupra R skirts, then a front and rear bumper.

White wheels would cheapen it, im trying to finish the car with the 'perfect' wheels.. possibly OEM alloys.

All the parts painted and cleared.

3 litres gone

Bumpers primed.

New wheels lifted. 7j fronts & 8.5j rears. In the middle of being refurbished. Il post pictures of before and after once there done.

Bumpers painted and fitted.

Also, the borbets from recent posts. Ford Australia purple pearl. Sunlight pictures to follow.

To do -
Fit 1 door , 3 windows , rubbers , bumper and door strips , door cards , number plates , paint new wheels , polish the 4 lips , fit new tyres , lift new adapters for new wheels , flatten few bits of the cars paint work, buff the whole car, polish , wax , valet etc etc

Can anyone reccommend a interior? Looking something a bit more sportier, also dark material. No leather though.

I'm thinking on a R interior myself. Hopefully this summer il get one fitted. Plan on getting a R kit on first...

The purple is by far the nicest I have seen! It's unreal in the flesh, iPhone camera makes it out to be a bit blue but it's pure purple, in the shade it's cadburys purple and in the sun it's just insane.

Thanks , noticed a small imperfection on the drivers front door today and decided to flatten it and re-paint it. So am now behind...AGAIN. I hate working on my own car as I'm lazier and take far more breaks lol need more red bull.
