Good afternoon. Great Forum!
I have searched through many heater problem threads but my problem is unique I think.
I have a 18 plate FR ST 1.8 and have been happy with it the 6 weeks I've owned it, until yesterday when I used the heater for the first time.
All was fine until 3miles down the road then 22 degrees without the ac on turned cold. Then every temperature setting was cold except max. AC made no difference.
So I had basically two settings. Cool or boiling hot.
This morning the heating worked as it should, ( I thought yesterday was a glitch )then on my way back just now the problem re appeared , it only blew cold air unless on the max setting.
Really disappointed, I've spent £££££ on this car, and after reading all the other threads it looks like the heater is a problem waiting to happen.
I have it booked in with a local independent tomorrow through rac warranty and they will check for fault codes, trouble is it's intermittent so not sure if it will show a code if the heater is functioning normally.
Has anyone else had a similar fault?
Cheers, Rob

It does sound a lot like the temperature flap motor assembly is not working as intended. I've had that in another VW Group car, and demanding Hi waiting a few seconds then demanding Lo then waiting a few seconds - and repeating that maybe 10 times in a row might sort it out for a day/week/month as doing that gives you a chance to clean up the feedback pot wiper and track.

Thanks so much for the reply Rum4mo.
I will try that tomorrow morning and for the next few days and see how I get on.
Hope that sorts it.
Cheers, Rob

Thanks for video, I have tried that as well as going from hot to cold and back again numerous times and will keep at it
Heater worked as normal yesterday so fingers crossed.
I would love to hear of people who've never had any Heater problems with their Leon though. Would make me feel confident about keeping it for the long term.
