I have a fault with the display unit of my MIB1 infotainment system in my 2014 Leon FR. Its has an internal fault and blows its 5A fuse in way 10.

The problem only started 2 days ago, I changed my blocked heater matrix and when i put everything back together the display would not work however music could be played from either SD card or CD and could be controlled from the steering wheel.

I've tried a couple of set ups, to prove where the fault lies:

1. Everything disconnected, the control unit in the glove box and the data cable on the display. Plugged in the power connector and the fuse blew.
2. Everything connected except the display power unit, when that was plugged in there was a puff of smoke and the fuse blew.

It seems clear that the fault is in the display unit although i have no idea what I've done to damage it.

Obviously now i need a replacement display, what will i need to do to get it to work with the control unit, does it need to be coded in some way to be compatible?

Thanks
