Oil leak looks like it's the rocker cover gasket Pete 
Took me about 2hours to do mine on my old 16v. You have to take the inlet manifold off etc.
Might as well wait until you fit the 'bling' and do it all at the same time

The inlet manifold and rocker cover are coming off this week and being sent for polishing
It's not the source of the leak though, there's not enough over the engine for it to be that, it's somewhere underneath.

Sump gasket maybe ? Think mine's on it's way on the 8v
Ideal thing to do when you're doing the oil change.... drain the oil, whip the sump off, new gasket, job done

Could well be. I need to find where it's coming from and sort it. Sump gasket is definately something to check as you say easy to sort md oil change if it's that

So half the engine is missing right now, just covered with an old plastic bag to keep the crap out
But my coilovers arrived this morning With only one adjustment spanner
