The rear air con vents only seem to work if the temperature zones are synched. Is this correct in that front left and right and rear cannot be different temperatures?

No they can all be different you have sync and lock, sync makes them all the same lock will link the back to the front settings so unlock and passenger can control temp

I see what you are saying, but the front zones were not synced yet the back was all greyed out on the infotainment screen and no air at all was flowing in the rear. I pressed sync and back on the rear infotainment screen I could then lock/unlock and set a rear temperature.

Thanks I had seen that but didn't really apply to my issue. Trouble is the hybrids systems work differently to my petrol version being they will detect if a passenger is needing ac and display eco if the seat is empty whereas my petrol engined car does not do that. Strangely enough the only option not greyed out on the screen for the rear was the AC on/off. However toggling that turned the entire AC on or off, not just the rear.
I really should experiment to see what can be done or not done but really don't want to sit on the drive with the engine running for an hour 😂 so will leave it in sync for now!

So I've just pulled up and decided to try this out. I don't have passengers so wouldn't have ever known if the rear vents work or how they work.

My left and right stay synced anyway so I tapped on the Rear icon then on the Rear Lock that was in Orange and it became greyed out. I could then change the temp from the back using the slides between the Blue and Red. I can also set a different temp at the back with Rear Lock in Orange as well as when it's greyed out.

The option to change the rear temp also shows on the infortainment screen. If I increase the fan from 1 to 6 it also increases the amount of air blowing from the rear vents.

It didn't work if Air conditioning on the left was not selected/turned on/in orange. I have a V2 by the way

Also works without left and right synced so temps can be different on all 3 and the back vents work

Weirdly, today I noticed that all vents were blowing air and each zone had a different temperature.
Now I haven't touched anything since getting the rear working again by pressing the sync button yet today it is not in sync. wtf is happening?
