I've got a leak on my rear washer hose on my Altea XL which is no-doubt due to freezing and a joint opening up. When I operate the rear wash a very small amount of fluid comes out on the screen but a large amount runs out underneath the car in-front of the rear right-hand wheel. I can't really see where it is coming from but it looks as though it runs round the wheel arch and drops onto the side skirt if that makes sense but there isn't obviously any hose there.
Under the car I think there is the washer hose slightly further in which has blue connections?? It runs under the car and then up and over the fuel tank I think. If this is the rear wash hose where does it go next and are there any joints succeptible to failure?
I still have warranty on the car and of-course I can take it back to be sorted but if it's simple I might as well do it myself. I've checked inside the car and there is no fluid pooling in either the passenger compartment or the boot.
Thanks, Mark
