SEAT Connect problem

Hey guys!

Just joined the club with a 2021 Arona FR Red! I've already picked up a ton of great stuff from you all on this forum, so thanks heaps for that!

I'm having a bit of a tricky time with this SEAT Connect login though. Whenever I try to make a new user or log in, I keep getting this 'Unable to load user profile' error. SEAT suggested I tweak my privacy settings, but every time I try, I either get stuck on a loading screen or receive another error saying "Privacy settings and services" are currently unavailable.

I gave factory resetting and the long-press reset a go, but it didn't seem to do the trick...

SEAT said they passed it on to their tech team about a week ago, but I haven't heard anything back just yet.

Any suggestions or tips from you guys would be super appreciated! Thanks!

@East Yorkshire Retrofits are good at looking these up and saying what they are. Connect cars are like a pack of cards if all bits of the systems aren't right they collapse. Lead to believe that VAG is getting on top of these issues now. Leon 4 and Formentor were the prime example of these on Seat. Any VAG car with the MQB Evo platform. Next inline is the mib3 infotainment system which is on all VAG cars from the 2020 model line up. Yours is one of those and the emergency distress unit in the roof if you got one of those. So you can get the full can of worms with an MQB Evo car or the reduced set with just mib3 and that warning system only. As said these issues are being fixed but obviously any early examples of these knocking about in the supply chain or secondhand may need some sorting out.

On your first this is where people say make sure your dealer does that login before you leave. It's probably one they are suppose to take you through but may skip with second intuition 🙄.

Hi Greenfoot,

I had the same issue. I brought my Arona to official service they didn't have a clue how to fix it. The car was still under factory warranty but according to them software issues are not covered - it is imported car so they were just trying to get rid of me.

So I reached out to Seat support , which turned out to be a huge mistake because all i was getting from them is that I need to change the privacy settings and it took me 6-7 months and who knows how many mails to get to the right person there who understood the issue and informed the garage what needs to be done.

When picking up the car from the garage the front desk guy was like yeah we fixed your issue you are welcome... And it was not fixed.

Yesterday I ordered the fw update pack from the East Yorkshire guys, installed it just now and everything works without any issue. I can access and change privacy settings.

I hope the issue with your infotainment system is already fixed but in case someone else has the same problem the solution is really simple thanks to East Yorkshire Retrofits.
