My ibiza FR PD130's turbo failed at 2 and a half years and 64000 miles a component I feel should last the life of the car, despite having reported a turbo fault when the car was in warranty Seat failed to take any action. I used VW fianancial services Uk ltd to provide a higher purchase agreement so in effect I bought it from them. A month after the failure neither VWFS or Seat UK are prepared to help me and are saying I have to pay the £1700 for the repair before they will consider any financial help.
The car itself is fantastic and apart from the turbo failure I am very pleased with it but the customer service received is appalling. So I would like to warn any prospective client of Seat that if you get a problem do not expect any help!

Im not a major fan of seat customer services either but ... erm why didnt you get them to fix the fault when it was under warranty? no point going to them now outside of warranty when its failed, they are not obliged to do anything.

You have to play them at their game, and outside of warranty you havent really got any come back.

Turbo's are considered a lifetime unit I'm afraid - but that's a steep repair cost for a 'fairly' low cost part.

your finance company may have some responsibility, but I doubt it.... why not take the car to a VW specialist & pay considerably less
