Old Cupra Rear axle/Subframe vs The Aluminium i will use.
397308_10150466850485168_540330167_9004872_747521091_n.jpg

I use the Aluminium one instead of the Metall one i bought first as this looks much better and seems stronger?

So if somebody need one i have this with the parts in the pictures to sale..
Also have front S3 Aluminium Hubs and KW F/R Antiroolbars complete with bushes :p

400563_10150484000755168_540330167_9058715_1627827640_n.jpg

Starting to move parts over. Lucky all parts are the same so dont need to press any more bushes. Only one i need to mount on the rear Hubs.

vs New AWD Aluminium Subframe.

Well thats all for that evening we worked from 6pm to 1am or so but couldnt come further as the Antiroolbars didnt fit. I was told by KW reseller that the front would work only rear wouldnt fit. so i figured to use the oem S3 rear just for mounting and get the rear one later.

But i ordered a set of front and rear Arbs From H&R instead and got them yesterday so went to the garage where the car hangs firm on the lift to mount little.
406972_10150482869210168_540330167_9055769_1537665991_n.jpg

Then pressed out the old rear hub bushes and mounted the Powerflex there also.
398436_10150483998980168_540330167_9058703_1627512335_n.jpg

Then i saw that i had to order 4 new bolts to get the hubs on the rear. the old ones are little to short.

396785_10150483999240168_540330167_9058705_890142347_n.jpg

But wanted to mount the rear subfram/axel so continued and just will change bolt later.

399845_10150483999375168_540330167_9058706_222734889_n.jpg

Diff almost mounted.
407293_10150484000235168_540330167_9058711_2022856029_n.jpg

Found that i forgot to order these bolts..
397022_10150484000895168_540330167_9058716_1385784392_n.jpg

And also missplaced lost these 2 with brackets some where.

405720_10150484000090168_540330167_9058710_743938863_n.jpg

That was a couple of hors of mounting and cleaning parts of. And went home.
Now Tuesday or wednesday the bolts should arrive so i can get that done.

Maybe later today or tommorow i will go there and cut a bit of the boot floor out.

If someone want to se i can update with pics when ive got a bit further.
Or maybe boring to look at these kind of pictures? :p

Cheers

Good stuff mate, looks like the conversion is going nicely... God i wish i had a car lift !

I had to settle for axle stands and british weather :(

Does the 4wd rear subframe just bolt up complete to where the fwd fitted ? If it does then thats great i believe you still have to remove a little metal from the boot floor tho.

Keep up the good work and remember to keep those pictures coming :D

Thanks Mate,

This is my Friends garage/Workshop. So it is fully equipped with everything i could need.
Yes Lift really is wort very much when doing this. Also a good thing is that the Car hangs in the Rolling road room so i have very near to dyno the car when we are ready just down and roll down maybe half a meter :)

Thumbs upp!! for you that you have done that work without a lift. i dont think i would have done it without really.

Well first i was about to change the whole boot flor to a one from a R32/S3 or 4motion/quattro car. And already bought battery tray and so. But now i've decided not to use that and skip to order a new boot flor.

we will just cut out a bit of the boot floor and weld a new metall piece there and so.
as it isnt really that much thats has to be taken away. about the same piece that is seen without the heatshields on it on this picture.

The other bits should bolt upp quite easy i hope. maybe need to do some hole for some bolt but now we came so far that it is no return :p

Cheers

Thanks mate! :)

Im also anxious to get it ready for Testdrive and Dyno :)

Looking for atleast 500+Whp xD

But waiting On some other stuff also.

Turbo, Wastegate and Downpipe.
It should have been ordered by my Tuner Vtech, here in Sweden From Clay CTS Turbo and ATP..
So maybe 2-3 weeks or so before it arrives?

Have got real good Help from Clay at CTS Turbo to choose Turbo also helped me answer many questions i had. Real good guy and company! :)

The only one that manufactur the AWD downpipe right now is ATP so Downpipe will come from them.

CTS will do a AWD kit in a couple of months. But i cant wait so long now as i have to get the car running so i can drive it to Paint shop again and repaint it. It will be green but i have braked some things racing around as usual so they will fix it again :)

Then the season starts and need to have it done by then.

Loving this car and the colour is just immaculate :) bring it to the UK lol would love to see it.. The real carbon just sets it off.

How much are those wheels (in pounds) approximately?
