Took me ages to sort the bloody gear knob I've had sitting in a drawer for about 6 months

Got the old one off after finally finding them clips under the gaitor, got the old one time clip off pretty easily. Quick clean and treatment of the leather with some of my bike leather stuff. All going ok.

Could I :censored: get the gaitor on the new one using that black clip. What an absolute **** to get on. Even cutting a small v piece in the leather it is a smaller diameter clip. In the end I thought :censored: it and used a Jubilee clip. :p

It holds the gaitor on well but doesn't let the leather flow down as well as using the oe clip underneath if you know what I mean . Still it did the job. Next was crimping the clip to the gear stick shaft and that proved difficult till I got a mate to help to stop the gear knob from turning.

Took me longer than expected.

S2000 aerial next and yet again it prooved a struggle as other people have found to remove the old one. With a m8 hold the base it soon give way and I glued on the new one.

I'm fooked now

Ahh, but the satisfaction of finishing makes it all worthwhile, no? :funk:

Yes it does and I've a few more minor ones to sort like Forge DV to fit, clear/black indicators, wind deflectors, dead pedal, new bulbs and badges to put on etc... Hope these go a little easier lol

I take it you won't be tackling a DIY big turbo conversion anytime soon? :)

I'll pass on that thanks. I don't touch any major upgrades on the car. Yet funnily I have took my bike to bits a few times for various mods
