Transmission fluid temperature not working

Hi,

I found that recently the transmission fluid temperature isn't working anymore. It just stays at nothing, those 3 dashes (---).

I've been on a 200km drive and it didn't move at all. I think it happened after some cold weather.

Anyone else had this issue?

Dont know the MK4 but is it possible to turn it off in the menu.

If you have a diagnostic device might be worth seeing if that shows the temp just to prove its sending the data

Don't own a diagnostic device, another thing I'm thinking is that the temperature doesn't get to 50 degrees Celsius, that's when they start indicating.

Yep, that was it. Just came home from a 30 km trip in city traffic and it showed up once it reached 50 degrees.

if you had this on you 200km trip then you probably drived verry slowly or something? i mean it worked after a 30km trip....
