Update MIB firmware?

Hi,

I have a Seat Ibiza from december 2019. I already updated the Maps to the newest version. However I was wondering if it was possible to update the entire firmware of the MIB platform?

Currently I have:

Hardware: H50
Software: 0514

how can i found out if there is software update available to install? currently im on version 515 as you can see at the screenshot attached.

Yiu shoud downlod this version (MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0516T_MU0516), unzip to a SD card and do upgrade

I can see there is a new version for the H41 units without navigation, version 480. I have version 479 and mine sometimes restarts on its own. Has anyone installed the newer version and does it have any improvements over the 479 version?

May i ask if there is a potential risk with upgrading the firmware version on my own? can i harm the system\multimedia?

There is always a risk, but what I was given to understand is that if it is a wrong version, the system will not update...

How to update Seat Arona MIB2 Firmware:
1. Download the update from the link you receive from us
2. Extract the update files using WINRAR or 7ZIP
3. Place the SD into the SD reader and format FAT32
4. Drag the files/folders within the download folder into the root of the SD card
5. Remove SD from SD reader and place in SD1 in infotainment glovebox unit
6. Start engine/(or just switch on ignition if your battery is strong)
7. Hold menu, press “software versions/updates”
8. Press “Update”
9. Press “SD”
10. Press the software version It presents then press start
11. Once update is complete, press back then cancel software version management
12. DO NOT REMOVE THE SD CARD UNTIL THE UNIT IS BACK TO NORMAL OPERATION
13. Once back to normal operation, remove the SD. You’re good to go!

I just wanted to post a reply about this, it downloads like 60 mb of the file and then stopped, and i'm not able to resume...

I can update that the head unit firmware passed without any issues, worked like a charm.

Hello guys, me again..

so as i already mentioned, the firmware update went well without errors, and everything functions without issues.

but, in the previous version i had the "sports information" fully working, i paid for it quite amount of money.

Is there any way to bring it back maybe with obd11? i've done everything as explained in that youtube video, but i was not able to open the "sports information" window...

and this is how it looks before i updated the version from 515 to 516 -

I also had issues with downloading, i tried many times and finally it wotked. Try few times maybe it will eventually work.
