read the small print on what you can claim for and how much you can claim
my girl freind had an axtended warranty with the RAC when her peoguet warranty ran out and it wasnt worth the paper it was written on.
She tried to claim for a wheel bearing that failed an mot because it had broken up but the RAC were having none of it even though it was covered , its one thing having the warranty but getting the company to part with the cash is another matter.
i will be selling my car before my warranty is up.

To be fair, a wheel bearing is pretty much a servicable part - yes one with a long service interval, but it will wear out.

I'm with WarrantyDirect. £350 for 15 months cover for mine, Luxury care so includes wear and tear (e.g. CV Joint boot going). Get a quote online, and then let them ring you and then negotiate down (let them ring a couple of times if you like!).

Ive just taken out AA Breakdown Repair Cover for about £70 for the year. It covers alot of items and only has a £25 excess. It has a £500 limit and you can have up to 5 claims per year (up to £500 each). Its worth a look over warranties that can cost a lot more.

Ive taken it out for my Saab but will be able to add my wifes FR TDI next year when the warranty runs out for about £20 extra.

You have to have AA cover and they have to repair at the roadside or take it to a garage of your choice.

Thats only what it says on the tin,Breakdown cover.Dont think it will cover the cost of such as dpf probs with a sensor failure. The items it covers, are they really worth that outlay when you consider how likely and often it actually occurs to people with their cars.It will not actually cover the parts incurred in a costly breakdown I reckon.

Defo extend the warranty though if your keeping the car.Its worth the risk I think as you only need one thing to go wrong to cost an arm and a leg.I'm talking running into the thousands, especially with these modern cars.
If you never need to actually use the extended warranty then lucky you.Just make sure you read into the actual warranty being offered.
Its probably not the cheapest one thats the best either.
