water sitting on my sill

I have a 52 plate leon cupra,when i open my drivers side front and back doors after every time it rains,water pours from off my sill,the water isint getting over the step inside the car so the carpet is dry,anyone know what can be causeing this?

Its a possibility that water is leaking past the window regulator behind the door card, this is a very common problem on this age of car.
Next time it happens, run your hand along the bottom of the door card edge - just where it joins the metal work, it should be dry here, if its wet it will most likely be the regulator leaking

Very common problem mate with the Mk1 Leon's and the Mk2 Toledo's.

Try a search, I think someone has knocked up a guide on curing the issue.
