CUPRA warms up the 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E‑Prix with exclusive activations on and off the racetrack

CUPRA will be the Title Partner of the first Formula E race to be held in the Spanish capital, expected to attract more than 30,000 fans on 21 March at the historic Jarama circuit

CUPRA warms up the 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E‑Prix by taking its urban spirit to the racetrack, the paddock and the city. Beyond its role as Title Partner of the race, CUPRA will fully immerse fans into the Formula E experience through distinctive activations and exclusive events. The CUPRA KIRO team will reinforce the brand’s leadership in electric performance from the starting line, while the presence of the CUPRA Raval at key spots in the city and along the circuit will present the upcoming future of electric mobility to the public.

“Our commitment at CUPRA is to make electric mobility attractive and accessible to the public in Spain and around the globe. Being part of the first-ever Formula E race in Madrid is very special for us. This comes at a very positive time for the CUPRA KIRO team, which achieved its best results in the last round, and for us as a brand, as we prepare for the arrival of the CUPRA Raval, the model that will change the rules of electric urban mobility.”

Markus Haupt, CEO of CUPRA

CHARGING BATTERIES FOR THE RACE

CUPRA prepared a fully electrified, urban experience ahead of the race. Some media will be able to explore the brand’s incredible lineup by test-driving the new CUPRA Tribe Edition models around Madrid for the first time ever. The CUPRA Formentor, CUPRA Terramar and CUPRA Leon plug-in hybrid (1.5 e-Hybrid 200 kW DSG) powertrain will be available for those media who want to experience CUPRA’s pure, raw driving emotion. With these models, the brand features a new individualisation concept for customers with a bold outlook, who value striking design and demand contemporary sustainability with a twist.

Building on its racing DNA, CUPRA also merged the worlds of gaming and professional racing by inviting Karchezz, the winner of the GP Explorer influencer F4 tournament, to compete against CUPRA KIRO driver Pepe Martí. The results of the race—in which the streamer started with a 24-second lead—are now available on the brand’s YouTube and Instagram channels

The 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E‑Prix is set to pass through the city centre through the Electric Music Laps concert. On Friday 20th of March, the Plaza Pedro Zerolo in Chueca will host the performances of three music artists sharing the CUPRA Raval urban spirit: Maria Escarmiento, Amore and Raya Diplomática. The brand’s new electric model will be displayed together with the CUPRA KIRO race car, which will feature a special livery inspired by the camouflage pattern of the Raval, based on the layout of the Barcelona neighbourhood.

URBAN SPIRIT ON THE TRACK

The CUPRA Raval will also be present on 21 March 2026 at the historic Circuito del Jarama. Its iconic camouflage will make CUPRA KIRO drivers Pepe Martín and Dan Ticktum stand out as they compete to maintain the momentum of the team. Pepe will also unveil a special helmet inspired by the Raval’s striking livery, adding an extra touch of personality and performance spirit on track. A virtual version of the Raval will also appear during the race broadcast, following the drivers through the Portago curve, one of the circuit’s most iconic sections.

The brand’s new gamechanger will be part of the activations taking place around the circuit on the race day, as the CUPRA Raval will be the centrepiece of a booth featuring a live DJ and a sales point for official CUPRA Collection. On the paddock, fans will be able to enjoy an immersive experience using virtual reality headsets to view the entire CUPRA portfolio, as well as a Playseat simulator for racing.

CUPRA’s role as Title Partner of the 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E‑Prix strengthens the brand’s mission to make electric mobility more visible, exciting and accessible for a wider audience in Spain. This first Formula E race in Madrid will position the city and the country in an elite group of European hosts of the world’s leading electric racing series, alongside Monaco, Berlin and London. This will be the sixth round of the season that kicked off in São Paulo on 6 December 2025 and continues through a competitive 17‑race calendar that includes key stops such as Mexico, Berlin, Monaco, Shanghai and Tokyo.
