ABT Special Edition CUPRA Formentor and CUPRA Terramar unveiled

New ABT performance packages for the CUPRA Formentor VZ and the CUPRA Terramar VZ, developed in collaboration with CUPRA

ABT Sportsline has revealed new performance packages for the CUPRA Formentor VZ and the CUPRA Terramar VZ, developed in collaboration with CUPRA. The upgrades build on the brands’ shared motorsport heritage and add both power and distinctive styling.

CUPRA Formentor VZ ABT Edition

The Formentor VZ benefits from a significant performance boost, with output raised from 333 PS to 400 PS. Torque has increased from 420 Nm to 470 Nm thanks to ABT’s in-house Power performance upgrade.

To match the extra performance, ABT has fitted a set of 21-inch Prime alloy wheels in gloss black, shod with 255/30 ZR tyres, along with revised front and rear spoilers. Inside, the cabin gains ABT-branded floor mats.

CUPRA Terramar VZ ABT Edition

The new Terramar VZ receives similar treatment. Power climbs from 265 PS to 325 PS, while torque rises from 400 Nm to 450 Nm. As with the Formentor, the upgrade package adds 21-inch ABT Prime wheels and a series of styling changes. These include a two-piece rear spoiler, revised front spoilers, and a grille attachment carrying the ABT logo.

Pricing and Availability

The ABT Edition package is priced at €6,190 for the Formentor VZ and €6,420 for the Terramar VZ. Prices include VAT but exclude installation, which will be carried out by participating CUPRA dealers*. Each upgrade comes with a five-year warranty covering both the performance enhancements and the vehicle itself.

Looking Ahead

Beyond these packages, ABT is also collaborating with Swiss importer AMAG on a limited “Black Symphony Edition” run of 100 examples each of the Formentor, Terramar, Leon and Leon Sportstourer. Each receives ABT performance and styling upgrades.

From 2026, ABT-refined special editions of the CUPRA Formentor and CUPRA Leon will be available to order directly from CUPRA’s official configurator. *

*For our UK readers, we’re waiting on details on availability for the UK.

That's a lot of money for a stage one tune.

21" wheels that's going to cost a lot for tyres

Only plus side is guarantee but the mk3 abt motors did not have a positive feedback from memory let's hope this one is better

As a pre-facelift Formentor ABT owner I do think the added 'ooomph' is worth it and I like the relatively subtle ABT visual touches. However I would have never parted with £60K for it. I think i got a steal buying one pre-reg with 50 miles on it for £40K ;)

All said, I the new styling is growing on me and i definitely prefer the paint job on the new version, trade-up time I wonder

I agree with you point about tyre cost and the ride might be a bit too firm even with the adaptive suspension, also i noticed the calipers are stamped 'cupra' not Brembo and you DO need the Brembos as I thought the VZN I tested had lousy brake performance.

One thing the absolutely must fix is that the ABT app isn't compatible with the ABT ECU unit on the Formetor as Cupra were too tight to spring for the bluetooth enabled version!

These ones are fitted with the huge Akebono brakes which in my experience are excellent. Presumably the one you tested had the non-Brembo smaller CUPRA branded ones? These Akebono's weren't around during the pre-facelift era for the Leon or Formentor sadly.

That's rubbish re the ABT ECU and app, hopefully they will address that!

Wheels are hidious so thats a no, the spoiler cap on the Formentor just looks like another Maxton stick on part so thats a no, the power upgrade is on par with what Racingline have just announced for the 2025 Formentor. No mention of the usual Akrapovic back box exhaust so I'm assuming thats not part of the package for the £6k.

None the less I think you could do better for alot less - Racingline tune, a decent set of Oz or Revo rims and a decent aftermarket spoiler extension!

By the time I could afford one second hand, the UK's roads might just have been fixed enough for the 21's to be 'So 2026'.

Imho 19"s are about the limit for today's roads unless you have a (good) Dentist, 🤔 oh wait by the time I could afford one will I still have a dentist, or any teeth for that matter... 🙈
