CUPRA has once again proven that performance and passion are at the brand’s DNA, wrapping up a weekend filled with success across three iconic competitions. From the electrifying streets of Formula E in Jakarta, to the legendary curves of Monza in the TCR World Tour, and the relentless 24-hour challenge of Nürburgring, CUPRA proved its bold spirit on three very different tracks.
CUPRA KIRO claims first-ever ABB FIA Formula E World Championship victory in Jakarta
CUPRA KIRO made history in Jakarta as British driver Dan Ticktum secured the team’s first ABB FIA Formula E World Championship victory at the intense and technical E-Prix. This milestone also marks CUPRA’s first win in the fully electric championship since its entry in the 2023 season.
Together with teammate David Beckmann, the team has been steadily improving its performance, achieving CUPRA KIRO’s first-ever Formula E podium in Tokyo earlier this year. That upward trajectory culminated in Jakarta, where talent, teamwork, and bold strategy delivered CUPRA KIRO’s breakthrough win.
The team now sets its sights on the next stop: Berlin, 12–13 July, where the electric fight continues.

CUPRA Leon VZ TCR takes first FIA TCR World Tour victory at Monza
History was also made at Monza, where Aurélien Comte drove the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR of the SP Compétition team to victory in the third round of the FIA TCR World Tour. Starting from eighth on the grid in Race 2, the French driver charged through the field with confidence and precision, taking the lead by lap 9 and crossing the finish line first with a commanding 1.5-second gap.
It was a first win for Comte, for the SP Compétition team, and for CUPRA in the championship — a triple celebration that reinforces CUPRA’s presence in international touring car racing.

Nürburgring 24 hours: class victory for the CUPRA Leon and category podium for the CUPRA Leon TCR
The Nürburgring 24 Hours, one of the biggest challenges in motorsport, featured three CUPRA Leon on the track competing in the VT2 Front and SP3T touring car classes.
The Auto Thomas by Jung Motorsport team took the class victory in VT2 Front, with a CUPRA Leon drive by Michael Eichorn, Anthony Roma, Andreas Winterweber, and Chris Rothoff. Another CUPRA Leon, driven by Niklas Abrahamsen, Bennet Ehrl, Tazio Ottis, and Sarah Ganser, secured fifth in class.
In the SP3T category, the CUPRA Leon TCR, driven by Lutz Obermann, Dennis Leissing, Junichi Umemoto, and Akshay Gupta, achieved third place in class.

Three tracks. Three competitions. Three victories. One bold brand.
It has been the biggest weekend ever in the racing history of CUPRA, with three victories in Formula E, TCR World Tour and Nürburgring 24 Hours. These results prove that CUPRA was born to race. We’re not just participating — we’re redefining the rules of racing across categories and continents. These victories belong to our great racing team and everyone who believes in CUPRA.”
