Got a test drive in a 140bhp Toyota Celica on sunday, doubt I'll get one though, doing 20,000 miles a year means diesel is pretty much a necessity (otherwise i'd probably be going for a Cupra / Cupra R)

That was on my short list too, a month ago. I was thinking of a 190 but only got to drive a 140. Nice car - nimble and smart and not too impractical. But all the 'go' is at the top end. The ride is harsh and it's noisy at motorway speeds. That and the thought of shoehorning two kids in the back every morning kind of put me off.

Imaginary dealer: 'Sir, would you prefer the petrol coupe or the diesel hatchback.'
Me: 'Eeeeeeerrrrrmmmm.....'
Imaginary dealer: 'I'll give you £1,000 per year in fuel savings to drive the diesel, sir, which has 10 more horsepower and nearly twice the torque, and you won't have to change gear nearly so much, and you'll be able to hear the stereo clearly on the way to work without killing your ears, and you'll save £150 per year on insurance.....'
Me: 'I'll have the Leon TDi FR.'

I think the FR looks best in Platinum, i had a deposit down on one and it also had the original FR alloys, very nice indeed but another dealer offered me the FR+ at the last minute and got a slightly better deal but I would have been happy with either IMHO....:)

Heres a couple of my FR+

Go for whatever best deal you can get, i wouldnt worry about an FR+ having better residuals as i dont think it will, both very good cars and both look sweet..! [B)]
swap with me i know you want too...

lol Jonjay! :D
I'd love to swap for a while as love the look of yours as its exactly the same as the one i was going to buy but now i love it in Red!
I wasnt totally in love with red (never had a red car) but it has grown on me and if i ever change to a new Cupra id prob get it in Red too....

Your traitorous red words won’t convert me hehe! Yea I was actually looking for the exact model and shape as yours but the dealer done the opposite to what yours done :)

My local SEAT Dealer had a used (or Demo) FR+ in platinum-grey with 11k miles up for £12,995. Im sure it could go for £12,400 easily.

Shame you dont seem to be anywhere near me :(

At the moment there is only 1 FR within 30 miles of my house (from a SEAT dealer that is), although I wont be buying for at least a month so hopefully a nice perfect grey FR+ will come up for around £12,500 *crosses anything that can be crossed*

Im sure if you contacted my local Dealer they could arrange something with you, even though they're in N.Ireland.
I was offered one from a Dealer in England who said they would arrange delivery somehow if i couldnt find a local one.

The dealers here used to have quite a few knocking about but very scarce now, the grey FR+ is the last one i could find last week when i went looking as my brother is thinking of buying one.

Looked good in Platinum...

Doubt it'll still be there in a month.

Cant really buy one till I finish moving house.
Also trading in my old 306 for 25p could be a problem with a dealer that far away. Unless anybody here wants it for a bargain £2000 *cough*

Worth considering when I get round to it though.

To be honest 30miles away isn't that long of a distance to travel if its motorway miles. There will always be leon's about and a SEAT dealer can always source one in from another if need be.
