Hi my insurance on the LCR is due in a few days, this year i have got it down to about £350 my lowest so far has anyone got it below £300? if so which company, any ideas appreciated to save more money. Last year Elephant were best this year it is looking like admiral

I have tried confused.com
money supermarket
the AA
Elephant
churchill
privilage

I will never use Norwich Union due to foreign call centres rubbish service and rubbish repairs in the past!

I've always found Direct Line/Privilege/Tesco (all Direct Line really) the cheapest for VW brands (cheapest for my S3, Golf V5, MK2 Gti and the Leon). My FR TDi is £280 with the Mrs on it. Strange really but it was cheaper insured with her on the insurance than without! I live in a supposed low risk post code and am 36 so I guess that helps!

Have you tried Greenlight? They have always been good for me and at least £100 cheaper than the next best price.

have used direct line in the past no good this time same with privilage will try tesco, tesco came out at £954!!!!!!!

I'm 30, medium risk postcode, 7 years protect NCB
partner on policy but she had an accident last year, so this time it would probably be less without her as named driver but need her on it for when i fancy a drink!

Below £300, I can't get it below £800!!!!

I'm 39, 11 years no claims, garaged, no points, mods declared, but then I live in Bradford:(

I got mine this month for £300.55, fully comp protected, 36 year old on a 2005 FR+, 10000 miles a year, with the wife social dom and comuter from Admiral. They were the best with £100000 legal protection. Norwich Union wanted £360 with the same cover yet my Volvo V40 last year was the best at £250, it was an old mans car though:D. They love simple cars, ask about anything with pace or looks and :censored: is the reply.

Blimey. Just goes to show how much the postcode can change things!

I'm 23, 3 years NCB, a 56 day ban for SP60 and I pay £750 with a £300 excess. I live in a reasonable 'B' grade postcode.
