Stone chips

I regularly travel up north every couple of weeks and by the time I get there the front of my car is covered in dead bugs. Upon cleaning the car this w/e I noticed that its not only bugs but also lots of stone chips.

The main areas affected are the whole of the front bumper, the very front of the bonnet and the wing mirrors. Is it because I travel to fast!?

I can imagine myself having to get my bumper, bonnet and wing mirrors resprayed (along with alloys refurbed) in a couple of years!!!

I got a fair few stone chips on my bonnet...Wouldn't go as far as getting it resprayed though unless it looks really bad :(
Would recomend getting some form of protector on the chips though so that they don't rust.

The main cause of this is sitting too close to the car in front. But in can happen regardless though to be fair, just not quite as much.

There are plenty of touch up kits you can get to fill in the chips.

Just to close this thread, I'll like to add a correction. The marks which I couldn't remove were dead bug guts. A good waxing session removed them all!

On a serious one (im a bummer I know) does anyone know where you can get a bra from. I saw a mondeo the other day with a clear one over the front of the bonnet.

There's really no serious conversation about car bras.

http://www.autobra.co.uk

A whole website dedicated to car bras - and all it took was a quick google ;)

Yes, they do Leon ones. And yes, they look ridiculous.

Car-bras are gay :<

Rly gay... I'd prefer stone chips and dead flies to a car bra. People with car bras tend to be the same people who as kids, wore helmets and knee pads while riding their bikes -_-

Live a little!!!!! (or slow down or avoid tail gateing)
