recently bought an Altea Stylance 1.9tdi which I'm very pleased with but would like a bit more 'go' and have been looking into getting a remap

two possibilities really, should I go for 140bhp (£200) or 155bhp (£360)

does the extra 15bhp warrant the extra £160 ?

I'm not mechanically minded, just enjoy driving and I'm not interested in top end speeds but like mid range grunt and hopefully an even smoother delivery of power (slight miss on mine in 5th on occasion) also don't want to effect the current mpg too much which is why I went for thr 1.9 in the first place

thanks

look at p-torque section mate, wont go far wrong.

will is a sound guy, i got + 35bhp for 275 quid, tons of torque.

Hi

We map these for a 36 - 40bhp increase. Power is delivered strongly but smoothly throughout the rev-range. (140 - 145bhp is the normal acheived from this model)

This is usually £450 all in, however, we offer members the price of £325 all in. A dyno power run can also be arranged if you wish

If you have any other questions, please let me know:)

update

had the remap done last Friday at Pendle Performance

absolutely delighted, its now a completely different car to drive

Anyone had a remap done on a 2.0 TDi 140?

Mine is going in for flywheel recall tomorrow! eeep!

can only imagine what a mapped 140 would be like !!

my 1.9 (105) has been mapped up to around 140 with 320Nm torque, don't think my clutch, brakes or wife could take much more :D

also filled up with premium diesel this time, cost 1.10 per litre, but seems to be running very well, will see what my £40 worth returns. According to the computer, on target for 400 odd miles

appear to have ended up with my perfect car
cheap to tax and insure, very good mpg, and shifts when I need it to

The 140PD is a cracking engine to map up. Very good results.

Flywheels are a common problem with them though....

P-torque, is it £325 to map the 140 as well, and what sort of power/torque figures are we looking at? Is there an issue with the flywheel on mapped engines (mines had the flywheel check at Seat and was OK)?

Hi There

Yes, £325 all in for the 140 too (usually £395)

As we have a special offer on other models at the moment, I will offer it for £300 all in until december 20th

Best Regards
Will

pd 140 re map

i'm even more confused.... i will only get mine remapped as its far better than the tuning boxes ( my old scoob was mapped on the road not on dyno, drove better was advised ecutek was the best, that was that job done ( £650 + vat + sports cat + fuel pump ) = £1350 went from 220 bhp to c 275bhp, i'm finding that there are loads of companys that are out there tempting me to spend my money. I thought i was convinced about going the revo route, but @ £586 inc vat it seems value, then rica do it for £470 the list goes on... what to do?????

Also theres a company called chipping uk they are in bromsgrove they say £380 i never heard of these before but if they are going to do the same as revo are they just going on there name to charge extra?????

 HELP! lol

Have a look at members feedback that have been to us :)

Always stick to companies that have a reputation. There are many tuners out there, but also alot of variation between performance results, and reliability!
