id say 230 ish tops......can we agree that a stage two should really have a fmic aswell???

mine did 209 bhp and 240lb/ft at awesome in summer, ive noticed a fair few of the ibizas putting out 230 ish with around 280lb/ft......would this be down to a fmic by any chance???sounds like a worthwhile mod if thats the case??

280lbft would require a large boost spike, which then requires an FMIC

however, many of the "high" k03s results have been obtained on happy dyno's

I agree with most of these comments. 230bhp is a sensible/realistic figure.

There are really 2 ways of mapping a turbo'd engine

a) Strong overboost at lower revs for a short rpm range (I hate this way, and think it is ''Mickey Mouse'' tuning dropping to standard boost at 4500ish rpm

b) Bring the boost in smoothly, not overboosting for as long, but holding a higher nominal boost towards the top end, ensuring better power delivery, and better performance drivability

It's more a question of what performance is repeatable, I think. Due to the standard intercooler, the intake temperature was too high to repeat my 242bhp run. The first run was aborted due to wheelspin, second run was 242bhp and third run was around 230bhp.

So, yes, I'd say a FMIC is a definite requirement for a hard-driven stage two car.

Yes but its all money at the end of the day! Just for a little extra BHP.

Why not just chuck out the seats, spare tyre, lose some weight and after the remap it'll feel like 300BHP+!! ;)

Does it make much difference ditching the spare wheel? Anyone ever done this?!! I could use the extra space too...

If you get rid you'll be looking at millaseconds of time difference around a track imo!

Not worth it!! keep it in just in case you get a flat.

Defo get a FMIC, very worthwhile.

Mine is custom mapped by P-Torque and made (ko3s) 208bhp 270lbs in summer, more than enough in a little ibiza.

Probably make around 220ish - 230max

Got a RR day in Jan '08 so i'll see

My average RR figure for a stage2 remap on my LC is around the 220bhp mark. I've had figures ranging from 213 - 235bhp on about 4 or 5 seperate RR days, on a couple of different RR's too. Torque figures ranging from 230-250lbft.

I'm more than happy with the performance, considering the car's now covered just under 98k!
