Flickering dash lights

Right, I noticed this a few times recently while driving but thought my eyes were deceiving me until I saw it happen twice in a row while parked and looking directly at my clocks.

What is happening is that two (not all) of the lights on my dash are going off briefly (1-2 seconds) then coming back on. The two lights in question are those behind the small rectangular areas on each of the main dials (speedo and revs), i.e. the one where you see your trip computer and the the equivalent on the other dial.

Can anyone make any suggestions as to why this might be happening and why it is only these two lights, the rest of the dash remains perfectly lit up at all times.

The lights in my window buttons flicker, but noo much that I concern myself with it.

I think the bulbs in your dash are needing replaced.

surely the two windows are too far apart to share the same bulb, so assuming they have different bulbs what are the chances they are flicking off and back on at the same time????

It may be the wiring loop that the two bulbs sit on.

Auto electrician or your local garage will be able to take a look.
