Newbie questions!

It sparks ONLY once....distributors fine, we checked it all out. The crank is wired up properly as the resistance coming thru it is correct.

I dont have a copy of vagcom! Nor do I have a way of getting it to VW/Seat to diagnose it :-(

Sorry to drag up this old thread again. Im new to the site. One question- will this airbox drilling mod make any sound difference to the 110 TDi engine- or is it strictly for petrol cars?? Thanks!!

Try taking the cover off your airbox and maybe even take out the filter for a second and hear how it ticks over. Should give you an idea of how it might sound. Might just make it more 'tractorish' if you know what i mean.

Agreed my mate put just a replacemet filter on his vectra diesel and that sounded tractorish,had a deep grunt though!

Thanks for the reply. I have already removed the CAT from the car, sounds a bit more whistley when you rev it. I was jus wandering if this would have made the sound louder etc. Must try it when I get a chance this weekend! Dont want it sounding too tractorish!! lol Does any one have any simple mods that could give any increase in power. I have blanked off the EGR valve to stop the car being sluggish and going in to Limp Home Mode all the time!

Best bet is a remap,they do wounders!
