euro vs rally

right,had my mk2 ibiza a couple of weeks now and need to make a desision.
ivw had loads of vws in the past and have always gone for the euro look.
to be honest,i think the euro look and the euro scene has been done to death now so was thinking of going down the rally look just to be a little different
what do you think?
anyone got any pics,ideas or links to mk2 ibiza rally cars?

dave with the kiwi ibiza has gone rally slag style and does look sweet, all but stickers i think.

I'm agreeing, with a Kiwi it HAS to be rally slag style as thats where the colour came from (later rally cars went to Bengal Yellow), I have seen the 4 light pods to go on the bonnet for sale every now and again and they suit the car well.

Unless you want to feel like your really in a rally car i wouldn't strip the interior, as you've probably realised by now Ibiza's are harsh and noisy enough with it all in, and your not going to gain alot by stripping it out and a cage shouldnt be needed unless you are planning on rolling it.

not planning on rolling it to be honest but was thinking of the rally look.
if i go with a light pod on the bonnet and bucket seats etc it would look odd without a cage in my opion.
as for stripping the interior,maybe it would get rid of a few rattles haha

infact any part of the F2 kit eg skirts,arches etc

Only look you can have with the kiwi is "rally" I think!

I've stripped everything now and it is pretty loud in the car and find youself shouting to talk to the person next to you when driving on the motorway!

In the middle of fitting my cage now and tbh I'm shocked that I can live with it lol.

yeah the EURO thing has been going on for years now especially with the vws and its all a bit same old same old if you ask me
time for a change but still not sure what way to go with it.
its quite tidy now but need to put my own mark on it

euro scene has been "IN" for about 1 year. Can't say I didn't predict people getting bored of it SO quickly.

on the vw side its been about for a good 5yrs now and nothing much has changed at all really in that time smoothed body work,badgeless grills,wide wheels,stretched tyres,leather retrims,coilovers etc
its not a bad thing its been done to death to be honest because its going to make people look for different and original options instead of following the so called LOOK!

Euro is a flash word for people who dont know about the VW heritage! overused word.

I prefer the ultra low/wider wheels/smoother lines over white multispoke wheels with bucket seats.

But, the ibiza over so many hot hatches has the ability to pull off either perfectly - its a rally car but its also part of the Vee Dub family.

Rally ibizas im starting to like - oops!

I think it changes every year or 2,some dose some thing to a car its not ment to be done on (ie.saxo/corsa with big jap style bumpers,then a saxo/corsa try 2to be part of the vw world and smoothing every thing)then every 1 copies,its only a matter of time befor it chages again!
