Yes, the standard MAP sensor tube... if you've ever cut one open (and I have) you'll relise just how small it is inside. You bext making a boss that can be welded to an allow pipe to house the MAP.

I used to have diagrams somewhere but can't find them for love nor money. Its an alloy rectangle with a radius to suit x-sized pipe welded onto the pipe then machined for MAP sensor and holding bolt (M5).

have you looked on fleabay at the focus air filters with the alloy tube that you bolt the airflow meter too just an idea i have got one in my garage if i decide to do my bt conversion i will let you know if it works.

has anyone got any pictures of how it is ment to be done?
As i will be doin mine soon.

Thanks Trev

Sorted gonna look in to changing that..

Replace this plastic squashed pipe with proper pipework and a MAP sensor from forge - job done

IMO the cooler looks v.small (not that much bigger than standard smic) and really not a fan of the pipework, i personally wouldnt go near it if you paid me, BUT it will be better than standard though for cooling and 10/10 for trying considering you have never "developed" a DIY kit before

Fair play

whats wrong with the pipe work u can see. Its not ott and its direct! And its alot bigger than standard sits at the front nice and makes a big difference to standard

sorry david i dont know which one is squashed thats all mate. Me being blind. U on about one at the back. Suppose if the original plastic pipe was renewed with a fabricated one u could possible use i 90deg bend. Is that what u mean as well
