Hmmm, I think it depends on who is driving the other car! I really cant imagine any passat living with a CTR off the line if the CTR is driven properly, I mean these things do 0-60 in 6.6 seconds or so. I had a burn once with a 206GTi 180 from about 50 MPH in my then std 130 TDI A3. I expected to walk it but he must have hooked up well because he just pulled right away from me up to about 80 MPH. My other car is a 205 gti 1.9 and ive toasted TDi's off motorway slip roads, just by wringing out 2nd gear when they've not expected it. The driver does count alot in these things.

I dont think a 1.9 gti 205 would toast a mapped 150 cupra.
I just happened to tangle with a 530d on saturday from 50 mph and i stayed with him past 3 figures.
530d has 239 bhp and 369lb ft with a 0 to 60 of 6.8 seconds.
The time I had a go with the type r, I can tell you he was giving it all it had, admittedly he was 2 up but I would pitch my car against a ctr any time from a standing start too!

i had a bit of an encounter with a fiesta st the other day, i was actually amazed how my mapped 110 stayed with it, admittidly it was a rolling start from about 15mph, 20mph, i followed one from a roundabout and a old biddy lol, was in the fast lane in a suzuki swift and eventually moved out of the way and the fiesta put his foot down and so did i, he couldnt even pull on me and i managed to get up to the side of him still both going for it and the only time i backed off was when we hit ***mph, but i was actually quite shocked of how slow they are or my car just seems very quick:)

i think he got a bit done in when he saw the tdi badges, i think alot of petrol owners hate it when they get smoked by an oil burner lol ;)

Well I timed 1 up, coz I dont think my misses would approve of such malarky!

As for the tank, cant remember, maybe 3quarters full? It was on a damp day, but I dont think that made too much difference as I wasnt using 2nd gear.

Does your FR make 197 bhp standard? thats amazing and answers another question I was about to post- how much BHP are people getting on their standard Mk 2 FR's. Cheers for that.

so the rollers @ Superchips say's

I had a jabba mapped PD150 golf prior, which was running 185bhp on JBS rollers, & the FR does feel racier, maybe its due to the more modern engine etc ?

Must have a go at this timing malarky...

im not sure whether my car must be running slighlty more power than what it got rolling roaded at cause it done 30-70 in 3rd at 6.61 that was my quickest time and 197bhp does it in 6.3, not saying your car is slow jace as it is probably quick, or maybe where my turbo is smaller it spools up quicker and im on boost quicker??

maybe the RR estimated you a few bhp down (saw it happening before) - I'd say try some other rollers and split the difference which will give you a more accurate figure. As they say its a lottery! ;)

thats true diss_50, at the end of the day, its not always about figures, its how well the car goes and at the moment the car seems to be runnig spot on;):)
