Yes they're at Oulton Park next round and I'll be there to take more snaps! Island circuit will be used. £20 to get in on the day tho folks.

Also on the agenda is a new sub class, called MLR Edition!

Yes, its to satisfy the Evo boys and girls who wants to see how close they are to the TA regulars.

Rob...despite the power, you still have to put it to the ground. They run Toyo R888 track day tyres as control tyres, so no slicks.

And yes it is a lap time not from standing start like a sprint/hill climb comp.

As for Knockhill, there were a few drop outs and the distance thing meant some from the south didn't bother with it.

yeh they run 888's but they are really good tyres - and with 4 wheel drive - I would expect them to be quicker than they are - or it just puts into context how good tourers and their drivers actually are

True...some are using ex BTCC drivers, some aren't. Olly Clark has dabbled in rallying for instance. However Zen Performance is using Phil Glew / Matt Allison and now Tom Ferrier to drive their Scooby. Expect him to win at OP if the car is running extra 100bhp from last time out.

But I prefer the tuners to drive the car themselves, i give them respect for that. Amazes me that Tuners who "tune" cars, don't want to drive their own cars! I mean I can understand the competition side of it, but it makes it more fun! RCD has Clive Seddon, Simon Norris drives his own car, Olly drives his own car, Steve Guglielmi drives his own car.

ah bill...good news is there are always drop outs and you can enter individual rounds just to see where you are with the others. For example one of the club class guys in an Evo hit the pitt wall at Silverstone and don't think he'll be out at Oulton Park.

You'd prolly kick butt in the F/I FWD class tho.

And Ryan...yes I noticed that RCD hired in Jamie Stanley to drive both the Orange/Yellow Evo's at Silverstone. Shame really as Clive can peddle just as good in my view!

And re Norris Bill...I give him credit for being out there and having a go tho instead of letting some other person have the fun and possibly crash his car! lol.
Hopefully he'll improve and get up the time sheets as the standard has moved on this year big time.

Not sure if I can be bothered to go now, as MSV requires "proof of published work" to be even considered for this one off event!!!

I mean bloody hell, we're not talking about big time motorsport here.

Ah well, save the £50 in petrol and 6 hours on the motorways, stay at home to watch the British GP quali instead me thinks.
