In front of a PC....
I am currently looking at maybe changing the current twin exhaust on my car for an aftermarket system. Thought of going for Milltek as I have heard good reviews for them but they do not do a system for the car (but might do in say 6months)
Had a look at the Supersprint system (does anyone know if its the same dimensions as the OEM Seat one?) I know that Igor has one on his car and even though it was quite expensive its a good quality product (is its loud at all? Not looking for anything that sounds like a tin can as the car is a daily driver and I do a lot of motorway driving, hence why I was looking into Milltek)
Is there anyone else that do a twin system for the Leon? Or do I go for a custom made system?
Any ideas would be helpful,
Thanks,
Alex

Presuming you currently have the 'standard' BTCC twin exit exhaust.. what's it like? How noisey?

Thinking of going the BTCC route myself..

Yea I have the Aero/BTCC kit on my car. The standard exhaust is not noisy at all in fact its quite quiet. Like I said I am not after anything that is too Saxo/Corsa boy sounding at all looking for something that has a bit more burble/sound to it.

Supersprint are very good quality. I had a full system on my old Corrado G60.
Even with a cat bypass pipe, it was quiet with a nice burble at idle. When cruising it was hardly noticable & on full chat it had a deep note but not too loud.

Never had a Milltek on any of my cars, but they are very good too. I may treat the wife's Mini One to a Milltek system at some point! :)

That is the one that I want :D
But like I said Milltek don't do a system for our cars yet but might go down the Custom route, spoke to a guy here in Glasgow and he said that from what he can see the current Remus/OEM set up on the car is pretty good and that whilst a custom stainless system will improve things slightly its not going to give you any big gains. Interesting.....

yep was told this by tsr in bridgwater you wont get much of a gain unless you de cat it
its purely looks and sound that will improve as being a diesel you can go almost straight thru in 2.75 inch tube and maybe two tiny rear boxes instead of the one big one they recon this could be good

I thought about doing that. My mate got his ibiza done with a straight through pipe made a big difference he reckons. Also it saved alot of weight I think!?

Hmmm De-Catting it is not an option for me as I don't want to have the hassle of putting a Cat back in come MOT time (in 3 years time mind) so I just want a whole system with a sports cat that I can put on the car and then leave alone without any fuss.
Might keep on searching...did the Custom guy say how much gain and noise you were going to get at all?

The twin 100mm tailpipes will looks good. Fills the space in the bumper.

Where abouts locally you thinking about getting a custom system made Alex?

Im looking at getting something done to the Ibiza.

I went to see a Guy in East Kilbride (round the corner from my work) His name is Simon and used to work in Motorsport World in Strathaven.

I was told the same as well if I did end up replacing the system. There might be small gains but it will sound great :D
I currently have a PiperX Panel Filter and a Custom Code remap on mines.

Mines (Custom Code) was RR'd at 182 bhp with 272 lb/ft of torque in Feb at Star Peformance. Not had it RR'd since I added the panel filter but don't expect it to add much if any at all to the figure above.
