If it had been looked after better by the previous owners it would be a great car but unfortunately its a bit scabby in places due to some rust and damaged paint. Interior was very clean mind you.
Right, sorry for the temporary death of this thread but i've been workin awkward hours and never got round to working on the car.
Decided to begin work again this week but with the car sitting around not being used it seems to have developed a problem! It ran fine before but now it won't idle, it just keeps dying. I can use the throttle to stop it from stalling and when out on the road it seems fine other than cutting out when i reach a junction. Does anyone have any past experiance with this and have any advice as to what it could be? I had a 306 xsi a while ago and a similar thing happened with it but i never found out why.
PS the new omp steering wheel is such an improvement over the standard one!

Managed to find a small piece of advice i hadn't tried yet and thought i might aswell give it a try. The advice, courtesy of roly, was...
So back round with the car and off with the valve again and into the shed. gave it a few stress relieving 'taps' with a hammer and re-fitted it once more. Turned the key and away it went, back to its former glory.
