happy with your sound standard HU sound system?

i pretty sure that im gonn a be buying a ibiza cupra mk 3 this weekend but the only thing im not sure about is the future sound system prospects. I just want to know if any of you who have wired up a system of the standard HU are happy with the results? good quality? I love the car, but i also do love my music and although im not wanting a ear shattering system, i would like to have decent set up i.e. sub, amp, 6x9's, and possibly amped up front speakers (if its worth the hassle.)

well first off, i have done alot of stuff to my car using the standard HU.

first off... you mention 6x9's and 'quality' in the same sentence.. that is NOT possible.

if you want a good sound system using the standard HU then you will want,
Decent AMPED front components and a sub.

in my sig there is a HOW TO... to wiring up the sound system still trying to find time to update it.

to be honest i think as long as you use quality speakers, sub and amps then you will be happy with the results. on my old sound system i spend £300 ish and it was 'ok'. it was a dam sight better than the standard crap but now i have spent another £300 and got new speakers amp's and sub the system is now very good.

im running JL audio VR-650 CSI front components and a W1 sub with a E1400D amp for the sub and a (JBL ) amp to power the front speakers.

I quite like the idea of a after market head so i can have a cd player and ipod control, i seen the step by step of how to diy one in your dash, has any one done this??

std hu for me with JL speakers in front and JL 6x9 at the rear all powered by a phenix gold amp....no sub for me at all and ive had many people in my car that have said wow what sud you runnig

thats exactly what im after but probably without the 6x9's but dont have a clue when it comes to audio!

dont get me rong! its not bass in ya face (thats just well chav)but it dos sound like a large system and the words treble ect you can hear clear as day.......im not down with the sub thing.............i had two 15" in the back of my old car and they shook the shite out of the car and made everything all lose an ratly

you can get away with a dam good amp and dam good 6x9 and that sounds class you realy should hear my set up not cheap but sound so sweet

iv had the dash cut because i like the aftermarket headunit with my ipod control etc so thats y i went down that route!
