Hello,
Im having trouble trying to decide between 19" alloys or 18". Im not really bothered about how hard the ride is with the 19"s unless its a dreadful ride!
I wouldnt mind 18"s but im not really willing to lower it!
Im going more for the look but i just need a bit of advice!
Please help me and if its possible could any of you's up load some pictures as im not sure which alloys to get!
Cheers!

what model you got?

I fitted 18's to my LC and it gave the effect of the car sitting to high. Until i dropped it a little with some eibach springs ;)

I think 19's would look to big unless you lowered the car and filled the arches more evenly.

well i had 18" on my leon cupra for over 18 months with the car lowered , which was a great ride .i am upgrading to 19" in a few weeks , but my car will hope to have the tires sitting up in the arches once i played about with the ride height on the coilovers as it being said above a car on standard ride height with 18 or 19 will look like a 4x4

i hope your putting an extra cushion on the drivers seat Kenny :p

It'll look bloody nice though.

What you doing with the Rial's?

they were sold at new year , plus i will be 225/35/19 for that extra cushion  i can live with the ride as i got a work car to drive when at work

Any joy with finding some new hoops yet kenny??

only problem with 19's is the ride comfort is even more reduced with less tyres to absorb road vibration/pot holes etc

guy on here commented about it recently, and much preferred his 18's over the 19's

I have had both on my LCR (standard 18s and superleggera 19s)
19s are defiantely a harder ride (225/35/19 rubber), but for sure looks the better option.
You will need to lower it though, I trial fitted the 19s not lowered and it looked very stupid.
Have a look in the readers ride section for pics of mine, sitting on 19s and coilovers.

One of the main reasons i was going to get 19"s was because i thought i could get away with out lowering it as i thought 19"s would fill the arches more.
If i lowered on 19"s would it not make the ride wvan more stiff!
I wasnt to sure about lowering but if i did i did i would probably do it on 18"s. How low will i need to go for 18"s to fit the arches nicely?
Would 18"s and lowering not make to ride just as stiff as 19"s with out lowering?

can someone post a pic of a lc with 19's and with coilovers please?

Not a cupra but close enough

yh profile 225/35/19 lol, is there anything else you can do to try and help the ride of the car??

I have 19's on mine wouldn't say the ride is all that harsh although I am still sitting stock height I am sure when the coilovers go in it will be harder but sacrifice that needs to be made the 19's fill the arch well IMO The leon has got some big arches to fill :)
