Hi Folks

Need some advice on some spacers what to get where from and cost, bought some recently but got lost in the POST!!!!!! so going to buy brand new so any advice would be good, unless any one has any for sale???????

I got the H&R hubcentric ones, a tad bit expensive but when i put them beside my ebay and FK ones, there is no comparision in quality, they were way ahead.

My advice would be to save up if you have too and get the H&R ones, especially if they are going on the front of the car, the rears you can get away with other lesser brands if you want!

Just out of curiosity where did you get your longer bolts to fit with the spacers?

This set comes with shallow bolts, then yours bolt to the spacer

is 10mm the normal on the rear 20mm seems quite alot??

strict MOT places would fail you with 20mm on the rear, the safest bet if you are wanting a large rear trak is the Forge 16mm set. Cheapest out the big branders too

alloy-wheel.ie, got H&R with bolts included, i went 15mm rear and 10mm front.

Yeah the H&R ones really are the best available on the market. 10mm front and 15mm rear is a popular choice depending on what wheels and suspension you're running.

it widens the front a rear track so the car should handle better in theory, however and correct me if i am wrong 90% of people fit them just for the look as the handling improvement would be minor IMO.

Hi guys,
If i am running with my standard sus... no coilovers or lowering springs.. would the 10mm front and 15mm rear still "work" for me?

Plus, then if i was to buy coilovers or lowering springs.. would i have to change my set up?

Yeah 10mm front and 15mm rear will be fine, depending on what wheels you have?

15mm on back of my LCR made a good improvement to stability under hard braking, before it used to twitch the rear end about abit on country roads, the spacers definately helped here. I went for 15mm on each side and its lowered about 20-25mm on coilovers and havent had any issues with rubbing. There is also an improvement in the rear end stabilty round sharp corners. Theres no way i would go back to not having them on now, the looks are improved too which is a bonus, but i did it for performance gains.

To solve this on my car I lowered the rear tyre pressures to 30PSI, this worked for me too.
Not felt the need to widen the rear track on mine.
80MPH HARD right hand cornering on a steeply inclined corner and zero back end twitchiness
