I had really hoped for more

I finally invested in a milltek downpipe and race cat the other day after reading peoples reviews on here, and i have to say im more than a little disapointed. I have barely noticed any difference over the standard dp and cat, apart from a deeper exhaust note. Im running a k03s with forge FMIC and milltek cat back (now turbo back) plus a BMC induction kit with cold air feed, and Star Performance remap.

Im also reading that people with similar mods are getting loads of torque steer and some even spin in 3rd gear. My car gets no torque steer and only spins in first gear (with TCS off) and has never spun in second, yet boosts at a solid 23-24 psi.

What could i be missing/doing wrong?

had is been rolling roaded? got any idea on what HP its running? the map might be bad..

any error codes? do you have access to VAG-COM?

you may just have another fault somewhere that means the miltek doesn't seem to be making much difference

At what RPM? Holding a solid 23-24 is wrong, is should spike there but shouldn't hold that for long tbh.

Yeah i have loads of print outs, all with different figures (as turbo was changed from K04 to K03s, and car was remapped by Star Performance when ECU was replaced). The most recent Star performance printout shows 230bhp with 220lbft torque. I think this torque value is a little low tbh and may be contributing to the problem.

No error codes mate, but yeah i do have full VAG-COM Bit of a novice at the mo with it though. Any idea what i could log to help diagnose my problem (never logged anything at all btw).

how good is your clutch ?

Clutch is standard setup so nothing amazing. Havent noticed any signs of it slipping or anythin tho.

I have only done an oil service in the 18months i have owned the car. I was thinkin about maybe changing the plugs to see if that helps. Any idea what else i could do for a 'good service' ?

Probably hits 24psi at 5500rpm and then holds it until i ease off.

I suggest a custom map to support the mods and you will proberly see more. Also that seems very high psi for a ko3s my hybrid only peaks at 1.6 then drops to around 1.3 ish

The remap was done with all mods bar the downpipe/cat. Only had milltek cat back system when the remap was done, however even without the cat/downpipe the car was still boosing to 24psi, as it is now. Really cant afford to fork out £400 for a remap
