Well, with a DPF you get no smoke what so ever so I would imagine that with no DPF and a remap you would get a little more smoke than a normal diesel without a DPF.

Smoke is part of owning a diesel TBH, the pros of no DPF outway the cons of a little smoke.

Well I spent 5.5 hours at AMD in Essex today and my FR is now DPF free with a custom map too!

Its a different car. So much more grunt and 6th gear on the motorway is now amazing.

Dyno showed 229HP and 339lb torque  Not bad for a smoker huh?

AMD reckon the map wont be at its best until 3 or 4 cold starts and averaging 85/90mph on the M25 on the way back I still got 48mpg :p

Mid range feels as quick as my K1 was so im pretty damned happy
I think a LOT more of us would get this "DPF delete" IF we knew what the changes in exhaust values are, AMD must have some idea or have you sign a disclaimer when you get it done. [ this is one reason why Super chips will not do road going DPF Tdi's]
There MUST be someone on this site that has access to MOT test equipment??. .............................please

Yes, there is a small puff of smoke when you put your foot down sometimes but as mentioned just adds insult to injury when you leave the GTi s etc in your wake.
This is probably the best mod ive done on any car ive owned. Not only have I got great power from a diesel its saving me cash every mile I drive.
Now that the map has settled down it really is flying :D

Just adds a little insult when you 'smoke' your latest victim ;)

Couldnt agree more.

Also smoke depends on mapper and how much power you go for. So far in testing, the more power the more smoke.

Below 3500k, hardly anything. Kepp your foot planted above this, and I get a good bit of smoke. This is no more than a pd150 maped, or any other diesel mapped.
:)

They have the s/w to delete dpf in the ECU but will not install on road going cars - I have tried, only track cars will they modify

Apologies - missed your reply...

They must have changed their mind, as back in February they asked me to go down..

superchips doing a DPF delete map??? thats good news. Maybe they'll have a switchable version so you can reduce the map to make the car pass an MOT with flying colours.
